How this site works
Most tools on this site — the subnet calculator, IPv4 range expander, password generator, encoders, hashers, JWT parser, JSON formatter, regex tester, cron parser, log filter, diff viewer, chmod calculator, and Unix timestamp converter — run entirely as JavaScript inside your own web browser. Nothing you type, paste, or generate in these tools is transmitted to us or to any server. We have no way of seeing what you enter into any of them.
These tools themselves set no cookies and do not use local storage to track you across visits. This site does run Google Analytics site-wide (see the Analytics disclosure below), which does set cookies.
Network Diagnostics and Email Tools
The tools grouped under "Network Diagnostics" — DNS Lookup, WHOIS Lookup, SSL Certificate Checker, Ping, Traceroute, and Port Checker (including its common-ports scan) — and under "Email Tools" — SPF, DKIM, and DMARC Record Checkers — are the exception. These operations (resolving DNS, querying a WHOIS registry, opening a TLS/TCP connection, sending ICMP packets) cannot be performed by a web browser, so the host or domain you enter into one of these tools is sent to this site's own backend server, which performs the operation and returns the result to your browser. This means:
- The host/domain (and, for the DKIM tool, the selector) you enter is transmitted to and processed by our server.
- For the network diagnostics tools, our server in turn contacts the target host/domain you specified (e.g. pings it, opens a TCP connection to it, or queries a DNS/WHOIS server about it). The SPF/DKIM/DMARC tools only perform DNS TXT lookups and never connect to the target domain directly.
- We do not log or retain the hosts you look up beyond what is needed to serve the request and apply basic rate limiting to prevent abuse.
- The network diagnostics tools refuse to target private, loopback, or internal network addresses. The common-ports scan checks a fixed list of well-known ports only — it cannot be used to scan an arbitrary custom port list.
Every page for these tools carries its own notice restating this before you use it.
Advertising disclosure (editable — fill in once ads are configured)
This site may display advertisements served by third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdSense). These networks may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. This site itself does not control that data collection. You can learn more about how Google uses data in this context at Google's Advertising Policy, and you can manage your ad personalization preferences at Google Ad Settings.
Analytics disclosure
This site uses Google Analytics (Google tag / gtag.js) to understand overall traffic and usage patterns — for example, which pages are visited, how visitors found the site, and general device/browser/location information. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to distinguish visitors and sessions. This applies site-wide, including on pages where a tool's own processing stays entirely local to your browser as described above — the analytics script simply records that you visited the page, not what you typed into any tool. You can learn more about how Google collects and processes this data at Google's Partner Sites policy, and you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using your browser's tracking-protection/ad-blocking settings.
